Community Events and Outreach

We show God’s Love through fellowship with our Community Events. We show God’s Love through helping one another with Community Outreach.

Community Events:

Trunk-R-Treat– Vehicles are decorated and set up in the parking lot. Kids go from car to car to collect candy. Free hotdogs and refreshments are served.  Kids can jump in bounce houses or go for a hayride.

Community Thanksgiving– The Sunday before Thanksgiving. Local churches come together for a Thanksgiving Service that includes, songs, prayer, a special speaker and a meal.

Christmas Lighting Ceremony– We enjoy hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream and sing a few songs while we wait for the lighting of the church’s Christmas decorations.

Christmas Eve Candle Lighting Service– This service is held on Christmas Eve.

Easter Sunrise Service– This is an outdoor service on Easter morning at sunrise. Coffee and donuts are provided. Everyone is invited.

Easter Egg Hunt–  The community is invited to attend. Free food, crafts and an egg hunt.

Christians Cruising for Christ Car Show– The first Saturday in May. Auto enthusiast from various places gather at our church parking lot for a car and bike show. This is a family friendly event that includes free food and refreshments. There is even door prizes and awards. There are no entry fees. Donations of canned food are collected for the Shreveport /Bossier rescue Mission. We gladly accept monetary donations to go towards the cost of the next year’s car show.

Vacation Bible School– First week in June. Kids learn a bible story, memory verses, crafts and how to apply these biblical principles in their everyday life.

Community Outreach:

School Uniform Exchange– Gently used or new uniforms are collected and distributed to help families to offset the cost of new uniforms in time for back to school.

Food Pantry– This ongoing ministry is for local families in need. Families may pick up specially prepared Food boxes twice a year from our church office.

Disaster Relief- We have been a drop off location for collecting donated food and supplies when needed. We have also raised funds for the Disaster Relief efforts through the SEND Relief and the North American Mission Board. You can volunteer or be trained to help, for more information go to
